Gen 7 Faves for December

We support small businesses not only through our services but in our daily lives with the products and services we use. This month we’re all about the gift industry brands and stores. We are showing some of our favorite local stores and products we like to shop at and support. From snacks, jewelry, clothes, and more, these products are perfect for a unique Christmas gift and/or stocking stuffer for the holidays! For us, it’s not just about the products/services but oftentimes the story behind the products or simply supporting a small, local, or family-owned business that we admire. Checkout our videos and messages below for more info!

Company: Favor the Kind

Product: Gift Store

I loved this store instantly when I stumbled across Favor the Kind. It’s my go-to spot for gift and Knick Knacks. They have gifts for kids and adults. I love their quirky, whimsical items and have great card selection. Whether you’re looking for something cute for yourself, shopping for others, or looking for great items; this is a must stop shop for the holidays!

Company: INSIGHT Professional

Product: Hair Care

I recently started using the Sensitive hair care line that my hairstylist recommended and so far am really enjoying these products! INSIGHT Professional believe in the possibility of a more conscious lifestyle, rooted in respect for us and our common resources.

Company: Yeps Gourmet Popcorn

Product: Popcorn Snack

As a midnight snacker, Yep’s Gourmet Popcorn offers a solution for just that. They sell some of the best sweet and savory gourmet popcorn I have ever tasted! It is Louisiana-based, black-owned, and steadily on the rise. This small business has managed to create a city buzz with their creative popcorn flavors and great customer service. During the holiday season, I see this as a fun and edible gift for friends, family, and colleagues.

Company: Mala Market

Product: Gift Shop

One of Houston’s best shopping spots filled with a variety of handmade products from local makers and artists. They also host the best events and themed markets, and work towards creating a connected community within Houston.

Company: Space Montrose

Product: Gift Store

Located in the neighborhood of Montrose in Houston, Space is a local shop that houses over 200 Texan artists with items ranging from Postcards, baby clothes, hand-crafted jewelry, wall art, candles, and so much more. They celebrate hand crafted, small businesses, and entrepreneurial efforts. I loved roaming around and seeing all the cute random trinkets they had in the store.

Company: Sumaq

Product: Jewelry

Sumaq is a jewelry company owned and operated by an amazing latina woman, my mom! She does bracelets, necklaces and earrings. She has some traditional styles that can be used every day or themed for the holidays. She can even do products based on your personality so you can feel like yourself while using them. The best thing is that they are perfect for this holiday season. I love their products! My favorite products are the pearls she gave me for my birthday. I use them on special occasions due to what they mean to me. I loved that she made something so personal that I will cherish forever.

Company: Austin Gift Company

Product: Gift Store

I LOVE going to the Austin Gift Company because they use their space to feature many different Austin local small businesses, and anything you think would be a good gift for someone, they most-likely have it!
